I have a thing for folk music. I dont really know where it came from. But i heard this Feist track that was a cover of this British folk godess from the 60s, Vashti bunyan. Turns out that after she released her first CD she quit the music scene and kinda recently she developed a finding. She became famous again and didnt even know it.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this earlier on my blog, but i def feel a shift in my own style.
There are a few fold at GQ who really do a great job and find some really cool things that i do
appreciate. Im a pretty avid gq-phile, i don't subscribe to GQ for the pictures, those are just a plus. I check out the sartorialist's blog from time to time and also men.style.com for his other postings at GQ. Through all that browsing i found a dude who,for lack of a better expression, knows his style shit. Its one thing to wear nice clothes but you gotta have a swagger with it. [i guess cool accessories dont hurt either]

I haven't been to the movies in ages. But i saw the restricted trailer to I love you man. That shit is funny. It comes out March 30th

MAN BAGS, no not what you're thinking. I am totally against murses [man purses]. But as a
budding professional I have stacks of papers and books and all types of stuff that i need to lug around. My north face back back is only gonna go but so far. Like i said, man purses are def not hot. There is a thin line to walk when you get a man bag, they have to be manly enough but
stylish. Man bags dont even have to be bags, they can be briefcases.
just beware the murse. I guess the main point is to avoid anything that looks like a purse.
[here's a couple acceptable man bags]
- The brief case to the left is pretty dope. Its real sleek and professional looking
-The bag to the right is big enough and it has a utilitarian look. No bells and whistles, just a man bag with a purpose.
-CHANGE-
I knows its been done. Its been said. Its The hottest news story in the world; but despite all of that. I have to say it, because no matter what. This inauguration and swearing in the first black president means so much to me. It says a lot for this country to have done what it, considering how conditions were a mere 40 some years ago. WE have mad leaps and bounds as a nation, but as Black people [and Hispanic for that matter] we cannot become complacent and not keep moving forward. This election was not some magical happenstance that cleared up all of the problems that we have. Now more than ever should be become more proactive in making a difference and closing the gaps that we as minorities face.
